My Posh Tips for Beginners

What began as a way for me to unload some of my daughters’ un-needed clothing (and snag some great deals in return) has turned into a six-year (and counting) journey in entrepreneurship that I’ve always dreamed of. Being my own boss, making creative choices, and marketing to the growing crowd has landed me into the ranks of becoming a Posh Ambassador, a multi-selected Posh Party Host, and a highly-rated seller. Are you ready to turn clothing into cash? Keep reading…

Have nothing to wear? We’ve all been there. Whether we’ve shrunk (ha!) or outgrown our clothes, have second thoughts about that last splurge purchase, realized our latest fashion phase has run its course, or just plain can’t stand anything in our closet, we find ourselves faced with a large pile of clothing regrets.

But, don’t fear. As the old adage goes, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”.

That’s exactly what you will find on Poshmark. Not trash, of course, but new and gently-worn treasures from people just like you, who, also find themselves in need of something new. And, thus, the buy, sell, trade (if you choose) market of Poshmark is a great way to do just that.

How do you get started? Here are my top 5 tips for getting your Poshmark closet up and running.

My last piece of quick advice is this. Be kind! Real people live behind the pages on the app, so treat them as you would in a face-to-face environment. Respond in a timely manner to anyone who asks you questions. Keep your conversations polite and positive. There are rules on Poshmark, so be sure to read them first before you begin. Good luck! You’ll do great!

This is how your listings will appear to buyers.
